Who runs this site

cannabidiol.ie is run by the team behind Dr. Hemp Me, an Irish CBD brand trading since 2018. That means we have a commercial interest in CBD. We tell you this up front, and where a guide mentions Dr. Hemp Me we label it as our own brand.

How we review evidence

• We label every finding as human (studies in people) or preclinical (cell or animal studies).
• We give more weight to randomised, placebo-controlled trials and systematic reviews than to surveys or single studies.
• We report doses, because many studies used far more CBD than consumer products contain.
• We list our main sources at the end of every guide.
• We do not make claims that CBD treats, prevents or cures any condition.
• Every guide shows when it was last reviewed, and we update guides when important new research is published.

About this domain

The cannabidiol.ie address was previously used by a different, unconnected CBD retailer, which has closed. We have no connection with that business and cannot help with orders placed with it.
